Lake Yard Club Membership
We are very proud of our club and love it when our members bring there guests to us to relax and enjoy our unique setting, great food and welcoming service. We're often asked about the whole 'membership' side of Lake Yard so hopefully this will answer a few questions...
How did the membership come about?
During the 1950s, the shipyard owners on the Lake Yard site sold part of the estate to the brewers Hall & Woodhouse for the construction of The Yachtsman. Upon the decision to add a bar facility at Lake Yard in 1996, an agreement was reached between the parties that one would be a pub and one would be a club hence Lake Yard Club and its membership.
And, what's in it for me if I join?
As a club member, you will benefit from 10% discounts on all drink & food purchases from the bar. Our till system allows you to pay as you go, or charge your membership account with funds allowing you to enjoy your time at the Club without the worry of having change in your wallet! Statements are available on request from the office to see the activity on your account.
If you've been to Lake Yard before, you'll remember that uninterrupted view of Poole Harbour - a view that not many people see thanks to our slightly off-the-beaten-track location. No noise of passing traffic, no busy pedestrianised walkways obstructing the view, just the club, our enviably located deck, a few masts and the water - perfect.
Lake Yard Club and the sense of secluded escapism enjoyed over breathtaking sunrises and sunsets is something very special. Come and be part of our magic.
We also put on a varied and social programme catering for all tastes & occasions.
The club is available for function on request and only to members that have been with us for over 1 year. Please contact the office for more info.
How much does it cost?
Membership runs from January 1st - December 31st.
Individual £60
Couple £100
Family £100 (2 adults and 2 children living at the same address)
(Please note membership is not pro-rata'd throughout the year. Prices subject to change for 2011)

It is simple. Application forms are available in the clubhouse, in the office upstairs or downloadable here as a PDF.

If you know a current member, put them down as a proposer. If not, don't worry. Send your completed form in to us anyway and we'll give you a quick call to introduce ourselves.
We love staying in touch and in these modern-techno-times, email is by far the quickest and most effective way (we wont bombard you with emails, don't worry)
